ArchEnerg was established in 2007 with the aim of creating an economic and social model based on renewable energy sources and energy efficiency that moves green economy enterprises and society towards a more sustainable future. ArchEnerg International Renewable Energy and Building Trade Cluster won the certificate of “Accredited Innovation Cluster” and ECEI GOLD Label “Excel in Cluster Excellence" awards all times.

ArchEnerg is now a leading cluster in the renewable energy and building sector with extended network with other similar clusters in the Central and Eastern European region.

The Innovation Clusters are one of the major tools used to back up and renew the economic development of Hungary, through public-private partnerships between companies, universities, research centres, training centres and public authorities. Their goal is to support innovation and to encourage the development of collaborative projects in issues such as  Research & Development or investment and training.

ArchEnerg Cluster has 80 members now: 63 SMEs – each experts in their field, 11 large enterprises and 4 academic institutions; the University of Szeged, the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn and the Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB), and the Business school of Budapest. The number of its members is growing perpetually.

During the operation, the Cluster has developed an extensive activity network with the primary task of supporting members involved in strategic industrial sectors. This support includes infrastructure development, lobbying, marketing and generation of interest for products and services. The complex services that the cluster offers are training and curriculum design, project generation, cluster marketing, searching for financial solutions, tender watch, partner search, demand assessment, needs assessment presentations and lectures.

As a catalyst of innovation in environmental technologies, Archenerg enables the development of technological projects and partnerships, focusing on the following sectors: energy efficiency, sustainable construction and environmental technologies.
