Since 1975 the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Iran) supports companies, which want to start off or further expand their international business. Whether you are a start-up or an established company, AHK Iran offers a wide range of professional services to help you along the road to success. As a membership organisation, AHK Iran makes it possible for you to build a strong network. The managing director of the chamber also represents the interests of German business in Iran as the official arm of Germany’s foreign trade promotion.
AHK Iran is the key institution for promoting Germany's overseas business development in Iran. It promotes bilateral economic relations with wide-ranging activities, like providing information, identifying trends and "hot topics" as well as building and maintaining networks. We look after German institutions, associations and trade fairs in Iran and their members or clients.
AHK Iran is not only the first point of contact for German companies deciding to enter the Iranian market, but also a professional provider of a wide range of custom-tailored services such as market intelligence, business matching, business trip support as well as consultation services and event management. For German newcomers to Iran, AHK Iran provides cost-effected equipped offices enabling them to easily establish a local presence.
On the basis of a voluntary membership, over 2,000 German and Iranian companies create a unique and exclusive network to promote the exchange of information and expertise. Members can participate in various working groups, regular seminars on business relevant topics like Human Resources, Tax or Law as well as members only event series Executive Insights.
The AHK Iran is part of a worldwide network of 140 German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK) in 92 countries. Wherever there is a particular interest for German business, the chambers offer their experience, connections and services to German and non-German companies alike. The AHKs are co-funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in accordance with a resolution of Germany's parliament. In Germany, all AHKs are closely linked to the network of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs). Thanks to the good cooperation between the two structures at home and abroad, company enquiries can be processed directly by local experts and answered with market-oriented solutions.
The umbrella organization of the IHKs is the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK e.V.) in Berlin, which also coordinates and supports the AHK network.
